A warm welcome to the Föhrenberge Nature Park!

Situated along the thermal line where the Vienna Basin meets the Alps, the Föhrenberge Nature Park stretches south of Vienna as a diverse cultural landscape and extensive woodland area. Open pine forests, cool deciduous woods, flower-rich dry grasslands, meadows and vineyards characterise a fragmented landscape that has developed over millennia and provides a habitat for numerous animal and plant species.

As a popular local recreation area and habitat for many people, the nature park faces the challenge of managing the pressure of use in a targeted manner and preserving sensitive habitats. Raising awareness of the natural treasures on our doorstep is therefore a key priority. The nature park combines recreation with responsibility and implements measures to ensure the sustainable management of the landscape.
